Far out finance in Missoula.

When Farmers State Bank set out to reimagine their Missoula branch, they wanted more than a remodel – they wanted an experience. Building on the steampunk creativity of their Helena location, the owners embraced the bold, eclectic spirit of the 1970s. Our team transformed the rustic, lodge-style building into a groovy, retro-inspired space where customers can quite literally boogie their way to the bank.

Every detail celebrates the era, from avocado green accents and lava lamps to psychedelic wall art and patterned carpet. Teller pods glow beneath custom gold chain curtains that cascade from a vaulted ceiling, while clerestory windows bathe the space in natural light. As the day progresses, light filters through the chain curtains in shifting patterns, creating a dynamic, ever-changing atmosphere.

Even the bathrooms extend the theme, offering playful nods to icons like David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane and the legendary Studio 54. Purple fixtures and lightning bolt tilework complete the immersive experience. With this renovation, Farmers State Bank has created a banking environment that is as fun as it is functional, proving that finance can groove right alongside fashion.
