Born from nearly a decade of vision, fundraising, and perseverance, the Ruby Valley Medical Center stands as a testament to the strength and unity of its community. In Sheridan, where access to care is vital, the new facility brings modern medical services close to home while honoring the valley’s heritage.
At 28,000 square feet, the center is thoughtfully divided: the east side houses a full-service critical access hospital, while the west offers an outpatient clinic for primary and preventative care. Inside, patients find a welcoming, state-of-the-art environment with trauma rooms, inpatient suites, radiology, CT scanning, physical therapy, and telehealth – ensuring rural residents have access to advanced treatment without leaving the valley.
The design draws inspiration from the agricultural and ranching traditions that define Ruby Valley. Natural materials and a grounded exterior palette create a building that belongs to its setting, while expansive windows open to views of the surrounding mountains.
More than a hospital, this project is a lifeline – crafted with care, fiscal responsibility, and deep community involvement. It is both a place of healing and a reflection of the resilience of the people it serves.
