A flexible school environment that supports student learning.

This project consists of two primary components: the renovation of the existing library into a commons space, and the addition of a new second-floor library overlooking the existing courtyard.

The commons offers an additional 2,000 sf for student dining and activities, plus a 750 sf flexible area for STEM-based learning. The new library features a computer lab, reading area, and student help kiosk. Large windows in the library frame views of Saddle Peak, a prominent peak on the ridge of the Bridger Range. Several translucent wall panels infuse the library with natural light.

The design was inspired by a focus on utilizing the site to maximize views of the surrounding landscape. A site analysis was conducted to ensure the building is positioned to provide unobstructed views from every angle possible.
