Restoring dignity and accessibility.

A landmark of justice since its construction, the Butte-Silver Bow Courthouse embodies the city’s storied mining heritage and civic pride. Within its grand walls, history has unfolded for generations – but some of its most essential spaces had yet to meet modern standards of equity and accessibility.

Our 1,000-square-foot first-floor restroom remodel addresses this need with thoughtful, historically sensitive design. The project introduces more equally sized men’s and women’s restrooms, along with a new single-use family restroom to better serve the diverse needs of the public.

Every element balances modern function with architectural integrity. Original marble toilet partitions have been carefully repurposed, and select historic light fixtures have been restored, ensuring the space retains its timeless character. New finishes and fixtures are chosen to complement the courthouse’s classic aesthetic while delivering lasting durability.

Once complete, these updated facilities will offer every visitor – regardless of age or ability – a dignified, comfortable experience in one of Butte’s most iconic civic spaces.
