Site and Community Space Planning
A well-planned site is welcoming, familiar, and easy to navigate—like home at every scale. We shape public spaces that sustain daily life, relate to culture and history, encourage connections, and adapt across seasons. We study and design for streetscapes, plazas, campuses, parks, athletic facilities, and shared spaces working together to create a sense of belonging.
Design for People
The best outdoor spaces are a canvas for the unique ways people live, work, and play. We emphasize accessibility, durability, comfort, and meaningful experience for the users of a space. In our design process of exploring human needs and revealing opportunities, we shape spaces to frame natural beauty, encourage health and wholeness/wellness, and foster a deep connection to place.
Design for Ecology
Designing with a whole ecology approach focuses on creating projects that protect and benefit natural ecosystems and habitats. We work with natural patterns such as water, soil, and vegetation, not against them. With expertise in native landscaping, rainwater capture, fire-wise and site-responsive irrigation strategies. We assess the entire ecology of a site to design beautiful environments that conserve water, protect soil, and thrive in changing conditions.
On-Structure
Rooftop and terrace gardens bring balance to the built environment, improving building performance and quality of life. We specialize in landscape architecture that extends roof lifespan, reduces energy costs, and mitigates urban heat sinks while supporting biodiversity and enhancing well-being.
